Silent Movie Mondays: Free as in Beer or...
Word around the palatial SIFFBlog (now Seattle Film Blog-ed) executive suites is that a certain well-known coffee outfit is attempting to stem the potential damage from a recent sports-team sale by offering FREE TICKETS for the films in the Paramount's immediately impending Silent Movie Mondays series.
Warren's minion are also admitted gratis.
ReplyDeleteTo paraphrae Thomas Paine, "That which we obtain too easily, we esteem too lightly, and it has little value." Translation: While free is a socialist concept I hold dear, in our rude and self obsessed society, free can also result in a disrespectful and disruptive audience, ruining the show for those who place a higher value on it. Free also nullifies anyone's expectations of civility. We can always ask Dennis to just play LOUDER!
